Biography
Junior (2016) - Competed in four meets for the Bulldogs...ran a personal best, 25:08.20 in the 8k at the Southern Conference Championships and placed 27th overall...ran a personal best, 32:16.90, in the 10k at the NCAA South Regionals and placed 59th overall.
Sophomore (2015) – Competed in two meets for the Bulldogs…ran a 16:45.20 at the Samford Tri-Meet in a 5k race where he finished 23rd overall...ran a personal record time of 27:33.30 in the 8k at the Commodore Classic on Sept. 19, where he also placed 138th overall.
Freshman (2014) – Competed in two meets for the Bulldogs under head coach Lori Strand…ran a season best in his first collegiate meet with a time of 27:36.59 in the 8k at the Commodore Classic on Sept. 13…in his only other race he placed 169th in the 8k at the Crimson Classic with a time of 28:42.82.
High School: Prepped at Whitesburg Christian Academy for head coach Dave McConnell…2014 AHSAA State Champion in the 1,600 meters and 3,200 meters…holds personal best times of 2:04.00 in the 800 meters, 4:37.00 in the 1,600 meters and 9:50.00 in the 3,200 meters…also a 1,000 point scorer in basketball.
Personal: Full name is Paul Richardson…born on June 9, 1995…son of Eddie and Susan Richardson…has one brother, Matthew and one sister, Laura Kay…majoring in Sports Administration and Recreation Ministry.
