Freshman (2012-13):Earned Second-Team All-Southern Conference honors after finishing the regular season with a stellar 15-6 singles record, as well as an 8-2 record in league play . . . member of the 2013 SoCon All-Freshman Team . . . finished the campaign with an 18-7 overall record in singles action, including an 8-2 mark in his final 10 games of the season . . . 12 of his 18 singles victories occurred in straight sets . . . teamed with Alex Sajonz in doubles and tallied a 10-6 dual-match record . . . additionally in doubles play, the Bulldogs’ No. 3 pairing earned an 8-2 mark against conference foes . . . named the SoCon Player of the Month for his stellar performance in April . . . during the month, he garnered a pair of conference player of the week honors and posted a combined 13-2 record in both singles and doubles action . . . finished April with a perfect 8-0 record in singles play . . . earned three straight victories in the SoCon Tournament and helped lead the Bulldogs to the championship title and a berth in the NCAA Tournament . . . in doubles play, he teamed with sophomore Austin Akers to claim the Flight No. 3 championship title at the Samford Fall Invite . . . the pair defeated Troy’s tandem of Anas Rouchdi and Daniel Bustamantae, 8-5, to finish a perfect 3-0 in the tournament . . . earned his first varsity letter.
High School: As one of the top players in his home country of Tunisia, he was a member of the prestigious Tunisian Davis Cup team . . . ranked as high as No. 159 in the world by the International Tennis Federation . . . cruised to the championship title of the 2011 Carthago Cup where he rattled off five-consecutive straight-set victories . . . defeated Japan’s Ken Onishi, 6-4, 6-3, in the championship final . . . finished the 2011 campaign with a 12-7 overall record in singles play . . . concluded 2010 with an 8-9 singles mark . . . one of his best year’s occurred in 2009 when he finished 18-9 in singles play.
