Biography
2014 (Junior): Indoor: Competed in five meets…recorded a season best 14.71m in the weight throw at the Southern Miss Cupid Classic on February 14…Outdoor: Competed in eight meets…recorded a personal best 42.64m throw in the discus at the SoCon Outdoor Championships on April 26…tallied another personal best in the hammer throw with a 52.68m toss a the SoCon Outdoor Championships on April 26.
2013 (Sophomore): Indoor: Competed in four meets … set a new personal-best in the weight throw at the SoCon Championships, throwing 49-0.25 (14.95m) … this mark ranks third all-time at Samford … set a new personal best in the shot put at the Blazer Invite (32-3.5, 9.84m). Outdoor: Competed in five meets … finished third in the hammer throw at the SoCon Championships (163-8, 49.90m) and also earned points in the discus, placing seventh (40.30m) … threw a personal-best 164-4 (50.09m) in the hammer throw at the Samford Multi, a mark that ranks second all-time at Samford.
2012 (Freshman): Indoor: Competed in four meets … set a personal best in the weight throw at the UAB Invitational (42-4.25, 12.91m). Outdoor: Competed in seven meets … set personal bests in the discus (134-6, 41.00m) hammer throw (140-10, 42.94m) and shot put (28-2.5, 8.59m).
High School: Received the 2010-11 Wendy[apos]s High School Heisman award ... 2011 Optimist Club 1A-3A Female Athlete of the Year ... two-time 2A State discus champion and two-time record-holder (2010-11) ... placed second in the shot put at the 2011 state meet ... was twice named Optimist Club Athlete of the Week in 2011 and once in 2009 ... selected to the 2008, 2009 and 2011 Press-Register All-Metro Track and Field team ... 2010 honorable mention on the Press-Register All-Metro Track and Field team ... four-time Mobile County discus champion ... named to the 2008 All Star Track and Field team by the Mobile County Women[apos]s Coaching Association.
