Sophomore (2016) - Competed in four meets for the Bulldogs...ran a personal best, 16:32.12, in the 5k at the Powerade Invitational in Chattanooga, TN and placed 33^rd overall...ran a personal best, 25:13.50 in the 8k at the Southern Conference Championships and placed 28^th overall...ran a personal best, 32:41.30, in the 10k at the NCAA South Regionals and placed 81^st overall.

Freshman (2015) – Competed in six meets for the Bulldogs…ran a 17:12.4 in his first collegiate 5k at the Samford Tri-Meet and placed 26^th overall…ran a season best 26.21.60 on Oct. 31, at the Southern Conference Championships and placed 42^nd overall in the 8k event…competed at the NCAA South Regionals where he placed 130^th with a time of 34:34.6 in the 10k race.

High School: Prepped under Coach Scharich at Woodstock High School…set school records in the 5,000 meters, 3,200 meters and 1,600 meters…2015 region champion in the 1,600 meters…2015 Cherokee Tribune Boys Athlete of the Year…2013 Cherokee Tribune Runner of the Year…holds personal bests in the 1,600 meters (4:18.00), the 3,200 meters (9:28.00) and the 5,000 meters (15:44.00).

Personal: Full name is Owen Bailey…born on October 30, 1996…son of Joel and Kayce Bailey…has one brother, Austin and two sisters, Anna and Lily…majoring in Entrepreneurship.
