Sophomore (2016) - Competed in two meets for the Bulldogs...ran a personal best, 16:38:00, in the 5k at the JSU Struts Cross Country meet in Jacksonville, AL and placed 23rd overall...ran a personal best, 28:06.3 in the 8k at the Alabama Crimson Classic in Tuscaloosa, AL.
Freshman (2015) – Competed in two meets for the Bulldogs…raced his way to a 29th place finish in his first collegiate event at the Samford Tri-Meet with a time of 18:02.7 in the 5k event…competed at the Rhodes College Invitational on Sept. 26, and placed 112th overall with a time of 29:27.6 in the 8k event.
High School: Prepped under Head Coach Bryan Burgess at John Carroll…qualified for AHSAA cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field championships throughout his career…selected to play in the 2015 Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Lacrosse Showcase…holds personal bests in the 1,600 meters (4:47), the 3,200 meters (10:28), 5,000 meters (16:56) and 800 meters (2:08).
Personal: Full name is Christian William Joseph Nichols…born on January 30, 1997…son of Howard and Madonna Nichols…has one brother, Alex and three sisters, Jenn, Mary-Carmen and Anna-Grace…majoring in Exercise Science.
