Haley Wilson enters her fourth season as the head women's golf coach at Samford University.
During her time at the helm of the Samford program, Wilson has led her teams to six top-five finishes. During the 2019-20 season, the Bulldogs finished in the top five in two tournaments, despite the season being shortened by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2018-19, Samford won the Bobby Nicholls Intercollegiate, hosted by Tennessee Tech. Bulldog Emily Uhland took individual honors in the tournament as well. During her first season in 2017-18, Samford had a high finish of fourth at the Southern Conference Championship.
Wilson came to Samford after spending the previous season as an assistant coach at UAB. In her season with the Blazers, she was involved in all aspects of the program, including coaching, recruiting, budgeting, compliance and fitness.
Prior to coming to UAB, Wilson spent one season at an assistant coach at Campbell University. In her one season at Campbell, Wilson helped lead the Camels to a Big South Conference title and NCAA Tournament berth.
Wilson spent two seasons at Point University from 2014-2015. At Point, she was an assistant coach her first season before being promoted to head coach in her second season with the program.
Wilson played collegiately at Auburn University from 2009-12. She was a member of three Southeastern Conference Championship teams (2009, 2011, and 2012), and was named to the 2009 All-SEC Freshman team.
During her career at Auburn, she recorded 12 top 20 finishes including a seventh-place at the 2011 University of Central Florida Challenge, a seventh-place at the 2010 SEC Championship and an 11th at the 2011 SEC Championship. Wilson also holds the 10th-best career stroke average at Auburn (75.3).
Wilson turned pro in 2012 and competed in the 2012 United States Open. She also played in the 2012 Tennessee Open where she finished third, and added a 12th place finish at the 2012 LPGA Texas Open.
Wilson graduated from Auburn in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
