Woodie Eubanks, a former Samford golfer and 1998 alum, is in the midst of his eighth year as head coach of the Samford's men's golf team and his fourth as the head coach of the women's team.

During his highly successful tenure at Samford, Eubanks has led his teams to their first conference championships, their first NCAA Championship appearance and their highest rankings in school history. He has also led Samford to seven event championships and eight individual championships. With high academic standards a trademark of the Samford golf programs, Eubanks has coached two freshmen of the year and 23 all-academic honorees. He has also guided the Bulldogs to a perfect 100-percent Academic Progress Rating (APR) for both the men's and women's teams. In only Eubanks' second season as head coach, he led the Bulldogs to the championship title of the 2005 Ohio Valley Conference Men's Golf Championship. During the championship run, he coached the OVC's Most Valuable Player and three OVC First-Team honorees. In 2005, the Bulldogs advanced to their first NCAA Regional Championship competition held at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif. During his time at Samford, Eubanks has greatly improved the golf programs' national rankings. He has also given even more credibility to the Bulldogs in the area of players, tournaments and schedules. Originally from Greer, S.C., Eubanks is married to the former Jayme Crews.
