Lizzie Hedrick

Lizzie Hedrick joined the Samford soccer coaching staff in the Fall of 2024.

She comes to Samford after playing for Columbus State University for five years.
 
While playing for the Cougars, Hedrick helped the team reach the 2022 Division II NCAA Semi-Final match and finished third in the national rankings. The same year the Cougars won the Southeast Region and were the Peach Belt Conference Regular Season Champions. Hedrick was awarded PBC First Team All-Conference Goalkeeper.
 
In 2023, Hedrick was voted the Peach Belt Conference Tournament MVP helping her team win the Conference Tournament Championship. She was voted onto the 2023 United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team and the D2CAA All-Region Second Team.
 
Additionally, Columbus State won the 2021 and 2022 Peach Belt Regular Season Championships and made appearances in the DII NCAA tournament both years.
 
Hedrick graduated May of 2024 with Academic All-Conference and Cum Laude honors with a B.S. in Mathematics with a Concentration in Secondary Education, a minor in Communications, and a Certificate in Servant Leadership.
