BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Samford Bulldog Club held its fifth-annual Bulldog Bash, sponsored by BB&T, and featuring ESPN analyst and former Penn State and NFL quarterback Todd Blackledge Thursday night at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham - The Wynfrey Hotel.
The Bulldog Bash is a fundraiser held to benefit the Samford athletics department.
The night began with a silent auction where all attendees were able to bid on donated items, with the proceeds going to Samford athletics. Following the silent auction, Samford director of athletics
Martin Newton welcomed everyone to the event, and then dinner was served.
Following dinner, Blackledge spoke for approximately 45 minutes. He spoke about his keys to having a successful team. He also took questions from the audience.
