BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford University softball team has announced that its game at No. 24 University of South Alabama has been cancelled due to unfavorable weather conditions. The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 5 p.m.

The Bulldogs (12-2) are off to its best start in the program's history for the second consecutive season and are riding a record setting eight-game win streak. The Jaguars (11-3) are coming off a weekend where they went 3-1 with its only loss coming to SoCon opponent Chattanooga by the score of 3-1.

Samford's next set of games will take place at the Wilson/DeMarini Classic hosted by Auburn University on Feb. 27-28, in Auburn, Ala. SU's first game will be against Texas State University with first pitch scheduled for Friday, Feb. 27, at 7:15 p.m.
