BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The contest between the Samford University softball team and No.6 Auburn University that was scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, at 6 p.m. has been postponed due to unfavorable field conditions along with the possibility for more rain in the evening hours.

The Bulldogs (27-17) were set for a rematch with the Tigers (40-6) but after a considerable amount of rain over the past few days coupled with the chance of more showers tonight has prompted the postponement of tonight's contest; both teams have left the opportunity open for a possible make-up date.

Samford returns to action on Saturday, April 18, at noon for a SoCon double-header against Mercer University at the Samford Softball Field. The first game of the series will be televised on the American Sports Network.
