BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Samford University women's tennis team will be hosting its NCAA Tournament Selection Show Watch Party on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. (CDT). The event will be held in the Coca-Cola Hospitality Suite located on the second floor of the Pete Hanna Center.
All fans and employees are welcome to attend and cake will be provided by the Samford Athletic Department.
The NCAA Selection Show is slated to begin at 4 p.m., but attendees are encouraged to arrive by 3:45 p.m., in preparation for the broadcast.
Samford (16-8) earned its first Southern Conference Tournament championship Sunday by defeating ETSU, 4-1. The victory marked the Bulldogs' first women's tennis title since joining the league in 2009.
Samford has been victorious in 11 of its last 12 matches and owns a 10-0 record against league opponents this season.
With Sunday's triumph, Samford extended its winning streak to six-consecutive matches and earned a trip to the 2015 NCAA Championship. The Bulldogs' last appearance occurred in 2008 when they were still a member of the Ohio Valley Conference. Samford was sent to the Tallahassee Regional that season and faced Florida State in the opening round of the tournament.
The 2015 NCAA Selection Show will be aired live on NCAA.com Tuesday at 4 p.m. (CDT). Samford's Watch Party is slated to begin at 3:45 p.m., and will be held in the Coca-Cola Hospitality Suite located on the second floor of the Pete Hanna Center.
