DAY 3 RESULTS
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Three flight titles highlighted the final day of the Samford Round Robin for the Samford women's tennis team Sunday at the Samford Tennis Complex.
In doubles,
Ellie Gerlach and
Grace Jennings earned the Flight 2 championship. The duo clinched the title with a 6-3 win over Tjasa Jerse and Elena Roca of Southern Mississippi.
Two Samford players earned singles flight titles.
Savannah Wood won Flight 2, while
Arianna Beltrame earned the Flight 5 title. On the final day, Wood defeated Southern Mississippi's Jerse, 6-4, 7-6. Beltrame earned her title with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Claudia Castella of Southern Mississippi.
Samford will return to action, Oct. 14-16, when the Bulldogs compete in the ITA Southern Regional in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
