BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's basketball team will return home to host the UT Martin Skyhawks Wednesday at 12 p.m. in the Pete Hanna Center.
Samford comes into the game with a record of 1-3. The Bulldogs are coming off a 78-63 loss at Rhode Island Sunday afternoon.

UT Martin has a 1-3 mark on the young season. The Skyhawks are coming off a 72-55 loss at Ohio on Friday.
The Skyhawks are led in scoring by Kendall Spray, averaging 12.0 points per game. Ashton Feldhaus scores 10.5 points per game for UT Martin.
Jenekia Mason is UT Martin's team leader in rebounding, grabbing 5.3 boards per contest. Shy Copney averages 4.0 rebounds per game for the Skyhawks.
Emanye Robertson leads UT Martin in assists, dishing out 3.0 assists per game. Emily Eubank averages 1.8 assists per game for the Skyhawks.
Samford and UT Martin will be meeting for the 15th time, with the Skyhawks holding a 9-5 advantage in the series. The teams last met on Dec. 5, 2015, with UT Martin winning by a score of 52-50 in Martin, Tenn. The teams were co-members of the Ohio Valley Conference from 2003-04 to 2007-08 until Samford moved to Southern Conference in the summer of 2008.
