BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's basketball team will host the Alabama A&M Bulldogs Saturday at noon in the Pete Hanna Center.
Samford enters the game with a record of 3-4 on the young season. Samford is coming off a 63-49 win over Alabama State Wednesday evening.

Kassidy Blevins, averaging 16.0 points per game. Fellow junior
Hannah Nichols scores 15.6 points per game for Samford.

Samantha Fitzgerald leads the team in rebounding, grabbing 4.7 boards per contest. Senior
Ellen Riggins averages 4.1 rebounds per game.

Charity Brown is the team leader in assists, dishing out 3.7 assists per game. Senior
Brittany Stevens averages 3.3 assists per contest.
Alabama A&M enters the game with a record of 2-4 so far this season. A&M is coming off a 68-65 win over Oakwood Tuesday night.
AAMU is led in scoring by Jemeica Cobb, averaging 16.7 points per game. Hilary Williams averages 8.2 points per game for A&M.
Cobb is also the team leader in rebounding, grabbing 8.7 boards per contest. LaKashia Hill and Alisha Davis average 4.3 rebounds per game each.
Williams is the team leader in assists, dishing out 2.2 assists per game. Cobb averages 1.7 assists per game for Alabama A&M.
Samford and Alabama A&M will be meeting for just the fifth time ever in women's basketball, with Samford holding a 3-1 advantage in the series. The teams last met on Dec. 1, 2015, with Samford taking a 54-30 win in the game played at Alabama A&M.
