ATHENS, Ga. – The Samford women's basketball team will continue its five-game road swing with a game at the University of Georgia Thursday at 12 p.m. (CT) at Stegemen Coliseum.
The game will mark the first-ever meeting between Samford and Georgia in women's basketball. This will be Samford's second game against an SEC team this season, as the Bulldogs played at 20
th-ranked Kentucky Nov. 27.
Samford comes into the game with a record of 5-6. The Bulldogs are coming off a 51-40 loss at Wake Forest on Sunday. The Bulldogs last win came in a 52-49 victory over cross-town rival UAB Dec. 8.

Hannah Nichols, averaging 14.1 points per game. Junior guard
Kassidy Blevins scores 13.0 points per game for Samford.
Senior forward
Ellen Riggins leads the team in rebounding, grabbing 4.6 boards per contest. Freshman forward
Samantha Fitzgerald averages 4.4 rebounds per game for Samford.
Senior guard
Brittany Stevens leads Samford in assists, dishing out 3.3 assists per game. Freshman guard
Charity Brown averages 3.0 assists per contest.
Georgia comes into Thursday's game with an overall mark of 7-4. The Bulldogs are coming off a 66-43 loss to Virginia Monday evening.
Georgia is led in scoring by Caliya Robinson, averaging 17.0 points per game. Mackenzie Engram scores 12.4 points per game for Georgia.
Pachis Roberts is the team leader in rebounding, grabbing 7.5 boards per contest. Robinson averages 6.3 rebounds per game.
Roberts and Haley Clark are tied for the team lead in assists, with both players averaging 3.6 assists per game.
