BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's basketball team will host the Belmont Bruins Monday evening at 6 p.m. in the Pete Hanna Center.
Samford enters the game with a record of 4-4. The Bulldogs are currently 4-0 in home games so far this season, and are coming off a 61-37 win over Alabama A&M Saturday afternoon.
Samford is led in scoring by junior
Kassidy Blevins, averaging 16.0 points per game. Fellow junior
Hannah Nichols scores 15.4 points per game for Samford.

Samantha Fitzgerald and senior
Ellen Riggins share the team lead in rebounding, both averaging 4.5 rebounds per game. Nichols averages 3.4 boards per contest.

Charity Brown is the team leader in assists, dishing out 3.9 assists per game. Senior
Brittany Stevens averages 3.4 assists per contest.
Belmont enters the game with a record of 5-4 so far this season. The Bruins are coming off an 87-56 win over Trevecca Saturday afternoon.
For the season, Belmont is led in scoring by Kylee Smith, averaging 15.0 points per game. Darby Maggard is averaging 13.4 points per game for the Bruins.
Sally McCabe leads Belmont in rebounding, grabbing 7.9 boards per contest. Frankie Joubran averages 5.6 rebounds per game.
Maggard is the team leader in assists, dishing out 5.6 assists per game. Jenny Roy averages 2.5 assists per game for Belmont.
Samford and Belmont have met six previous times, with Belmont holding a 6-0 advantage in the series. The teams last met on March 1, 2003, with Belmont earning a 66-53 win in a game played in Nashville, Tenn. Four of the six previous meetings were as co-members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. Monday night's game will mark the first meeting since Samford left in the A-Sun in 2003.
