SPARTANBURG, S.C. - For the second-consecutive week redshirt senior Mollie Hanson was named  SoCon Pitcher of the Week after having a stellar weekend in the circle for the Bulldogs.

Hanson turned in a pair of complete-game performances for Samford in its series win over ETSU. The redshirt senior pitcher tossed 12 innings in her two appearances, allowing only one earned run for a 0.58 ERA. Hanson threw seven innings, surrendering her only earned run of the week and striking out five, in a 4-1 victory in the series-opener. She then pitched five scoreless innings in Sunday's finale, fanning six Bucs batters and allowing two hits in a 12-0 rout. The Dothan, Ala., product limited the Bucs to a .190 batting average while in the circle.
 
Hanson has earned pitcher of the week accolades four times this season. She leads the league in wins (19) and ranks in the top five in ERA (2.75), opposing batting average (.243) and strikeouts (113).
