BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's basketball team will host the Wofford Terriers in a key Southern Conference game Thursday evening at 6 p.m. in the Pete Hanna Center.
Thursday night's game will be broadcast live on ESPN3. Curt Bloom (play-by-play),
Tony David (color) and Macy Marin (bench) will call the action.
Samford enters the game with a record of 7-11 overall and 1-3 in Southern Conference play. The Bulldogs are coming off a 64-40 loss at UNCG Saturday afternoon.
Samford is led in scoring by junior guard
Hannah Nichols, averaging 14.3 points per game. Junior guard
Kassidy Blevins averages 10.3 points per game for the Bulldogs.
Freshman forward
Samantha Fitzgerald leads Samford in rebounding, grabbing 4.2 boards per contest. Senior forward
Ellen Riggins averages 4.0 rebounds per game.

Brittany Stevens is the team leader in assists, dishing out 2.9 assists per game. Freshman
Charity Brown averages 2.6 assists per game for Samford.
Wofford comes into the game with a record of 12-6 overall and 2-1 in Southern Conference play. The Terriers are coming off a 71-30 non-conference win over Montreat Monday evening.
The Terriers are led in scoring by Chloe Wanink, averaging 15.2 points per game. Kentra Washington averages 11.9 points per game for Wofford.
Grayson Pinholster is the team leader in rebounding, grabbing 7.4 boards per contest. Wanink averages 6.1 rebounds per game.
Sarah Traynor leads Wofford in assists, dishing out 4.7 assists per game. Maria Corella averages 2.4 assists per game for the Terriers.
Samford carries an all-time record of 19-2 against Wofford into Thursday night's game. The teams met three times last season, with Samford winning all three meetings. SU earned a 58-39 win on Jan. 30 in Spartanburg, S.C., and the Bulldogs defeated the Terriers, 50-48 on Feb. 27 in Birmingham. The teams also met in the first round of the SoCon Tournament, with Samford earning a 63-43 win in Asheville, N.C.
