BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's basketball team will host Auburn-Montgomery in the Bulldogs' final non-conference game of the season Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Pete Hanna Center.
Students attending the game can register for the Steed's Jewelers' "Diamonds Are Forever" contest, where later this year a Samford student will win a $2,500 gift certificate from Steed's Jewelers. Also, the first 250 students receive a free SAM. Phone Wallet.
Samford enters the game with a record of 8-12 overall and 2-4 in Southern Conference play. The Bulldogs are coming off a hard-fought, 54-50 loss to Furman Saturday afternoon.
Samford is led in scoring by junior guard
Hannah Nichols, averaging 14.6 points per game. Junior guard
Kassidy Blevins scores 10.3 points per game for the Bulldogs.

Ellen Riggins is the team leader in rebounding, grabbing 4.1 boards per contest. Freshman
Samantha Fitzgerald averages 4.0 rebounds per game.

Brittany Stevens leads Samford in assists, dishing out 2.9 assists per game. Freshman
Charity Brown averages 2.4 assists per game for the Bulldogs.
Auburn-Montgomery comes into Tuesday night's game with a record of 5-15. The Warhawks are coming off an 82-53 loss to Spring Hill Monday evening.
AUM is led in scoring by Kaylan Withrow, averaging 13.0 points per game. Grace Farnsworth averages 12.1 points per game for the Warhawks.
Farnsworth is the team leader in rebounding, grabbing 6.0 boards per contest. Tyra Caudle averages 4.8 rebounds per game.
Nadia Stewart leads AUM in assists, dishing out 4.1 assists per game. Shanna Strain averages 1.8 assists per game for the Warhawks.
Samford and AUM are meeting for the fourth time in the regular season, with Samford holding a 3-0 advantage in the series. The teams last met on Nov. 15, 2015 in the Pete Hanna Center. In that game, Samford earned an 82-32 victory over the Warhawks. AUM is currently in a transition period, moving from the NAIA level to the NCAA Division II level. AUM will be a member of the Gulf South Conference after the transition period ends.
Tuesday night's game will air live on ESPN3. Curt Bloom (PBP), Holly Berry (Color) and Macy Marin (Bench) will call the action.
