1). The Bulldogs (2-4) return home to play host to the UCF Knights Thursday in the Pete Hanna Center. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. and admission is FREE.
 
2). Samford is coming off an 87-62 loss at 13^th-ranked Florida State Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs are 2-1 at home so far this season, with wins over Rhode Island (67-37) and Alabama State (58-39), and a loss to Colorado (71-60).
 
3). Samford senior Hannah Nichols is leading the team in scoring and rebounding so far this season, averaging 16.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Sophomore Samantha Fitzgerald averages 9.3 points and 4.8 boards per contest.
 
4). Samford sophomore Olivia Crozier averages 9.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Sophomore Charity Brown is averaging 8.0 points and 7.3 assists per game.
 
5). Samford and UCF have met 10 previous times, with UCF holding an 8-2 advantage in the series. The teams last met on Feb. 1, 2003, with UCF earning a 71-49 victory over Samford in a game played at Seibert Hall. The previous meetings in the series came as co-members of the Atlantic Sun Conference.
 
UCF
1). UCF is currently 4-3 on the young season. The Knights are coming off a 53-43 win over Northern Iowa Sunday afternoon.
              
2). Aliyah Gregory leads UCF in scoring, averaging 14.6 points per game. Kornelia Wright scores 10.4 points per game for the Knights.
              
3). UCF's leader in rebounding is Nyala Shuler, averaging 6.1 rebounds per game. Fifi Ndour averages 5.6 boards per contest.
              
4). Kornelia Wright leads the Knights in assists, dishing out 4.3 assists per game. Lawriell Wilson averages 2.0 assists per game for UCF.
 
5). Thursday night's game will mark UCF's third game against a Southern Conference opponent. The Knights opened the season with a 73-64 loss to Mercer, and then followed that up with a 58-57 win at Chattanooga.
