NEW ORLEANS, La. – Samford senior guard Hannah Nichols was named to the All-Tournament team for the Tulane Classic, played Thursday and Friday at Fogelman Arena.
 
Nichols posted double-doubles in both of Samford's games in the tournament. In Thursday's 46-33 loss to UTEP, she scored 10 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, dished out two assists and blocked four shots. In Friday's thrilling 82-76 overtime win over Troy, Nichols led the team with 17 points and 10 rebounds, and also blocked two shots.
 
For the two games, Nichols averaged 13.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. She also averaged 3.0 blocked shots per game.
 
Samford will return to action on Dec. 30, when the Bulldogs host Hampton at 2 p.m. in the Pete Hanna Center. Admission to all Samford women's basketball home games is FREE!
