Hannah Nichols is leading the team in scoring and rebounding so far this season, averaging 16.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Sophomore Olivia Crozier averages 10.3 points and 4.6 boards per contest.
4). Samford sophomore Samantha Fitzgerald averages 8.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. Sophomore Charity Brown is averaging 7.6 points and 7.5 assists per game.
5). Samford and UAB will be meeting for just the sixth time ever in women's basketball, with UAB holding a 3-2 advantage in the series. The teams met last season, with Samford earning a 52-49 win in the Pete Hanna Center. UAB won the first meeting, 84-58 on a neutral floor in the 2001-02 season. Since then, the home team has won each of the four matchups.

1). UAB is currently 6-1 entering Thursday night's game. The Blazers are coming off a 77-61 win at High Point Sunday afternoon.
2). Rachael Childress leads the Blazers in scoring, averaging 14.9 points per contest. Deanna Kuzmanic scores 11.9 points per game.
3). Angela Vendrell is the team leader in rebounds, grabbing 7.0 boards per contest. Kara Rawls averages 5.9 rebounds per game for the Blazers.
