CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Samford women's basketball team will conclude its three-game Southern Conference road swing with a game at rival Chattanooga Saturday at 1 p.m. (CT) at McKenzie Arena.

Samford enters the game with a record of 9-14 overall and 2-6 in Southern Conference play. The Bulldogs are coming off a 61-56 loss at ETSU Thursday.
So far this season, Samford is led in scoring by junior
Hannah Nichols, averaging 14.1 points per game. Nichols enters Saturday's game with 990 career points, putting her just 10 points away from becoming the eighth player in program history to score 1,000 points.

Samantha Fitzgerald averages 7.3 points per game. Fitzgerald also leads the team in rebounding, grabbing 4.3 boards per contest. Senior

Brittany Stevens is the team leader in assists, dishing out 2.7 assists per game. Freshman
Charity Brown averages 2.4 assists per game for the Bulldogs.
Chattanooga enters Saturday's game with a mark of 13-9 overall and 7-1 in SoCon games. The Mocs are coming off a 70-50 win over Mercer Thursday night.
Chattanooga is led in scoring by Jasmine Joyner, averaging 12.1 points per game. Chelsey Shumpert scores 11.2 points per game for the Mocs.
Joyner is also the team leader in rebounding, grabbing 9.9 boards per contest. Keiana Gilbert averages 5.1 rebounds per game.
Shumpert leads the team in assists, dishing out 3.1 assists per game. Gilbert averages 2.5 assists per game for the Mocs.
Samford and Chattanooga will be meeting for the 27th time, with Chattanooga holding a 19-7 advantage in the series. The teams met earlier this season, on Jan. 4, with UTC earning a 77-61 win in the Pete Hanna Center.
