BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's basketball team will play host to the UNCG Spartans Thursday night at 6 p.m. in the Pete Hanna Center.

Samford enters the game with a record of 9-15 overall and 2-7 in Southern Conference play. The Bulldogs are coming off a 51-45 loss at Chattanooga Saturday afternoon.

Brittany Stevens leads Samford in assists, dishing out 2.9 assists per game. Freshman
Charity Brown averages 2.3 assists per game for Samford.
UNCG enters Thursday's game with a record of 13-11 overall and 4-5 in Southern Conference games. The Spartans are coming off a 65-52 win over Furman last Saturday.
UNCG is led in scoring by Nadine Soliman, averaging 16.7 points per game. Te'ja Twitty scores 9.5 points per game for the Spartans.
Twitty is the team leader in rebounding, grabbing 7.6 boards per contest. India Timpton averages 5.1 rebounds per game for UNCG.
Bailey Williams leads UNCG in assists, dishing out 3.4 assists per game. Alexis Pitchford averages 3.3 assists per game.
Samford and UNCG will be meeting for the 19th time, with Samford holding a13-5 advantage in the series. The two teams met earlier this season in Greensboro, N.C. In that meeting, the Spartans defeated the Bulldogs by a score of 64-40. Samford has a record of 7-1 against UNCG in the Pete Hanna Center. The Bulldogs are 5-4 against the Spartans in Greensboro, N.C., and the team is 1-0 against UNCG at neutral sites.
