PINEHURST, N.C.—The Samford men's golf team will compete in the Southern Conference Championship, Sunday through Tuesday at Pinehurst No. 9 (par-72, 7,118 yards).
The teams will play 18 holes each day of the event. Tee times will begin at 6:30 a.m. (CT) each day.
The event will mark Samford's 10th and final tournament of the 2016-17 regular season. The Bulldogs have had three top-10 finishes, including a second-place finish at the Grover Page Invitational, and a third-place finish in the Samford Intercollegiate.
Individually, Samford has been led by Garrett Moores, posting a stroke average of 75.25 in a team-high 24 rounds of golf. Harlan Winn has a stroke average of 76.05 over 21 rounds this season.Â
Alec Stopperich has averaged 76.28 in 18 rounds of work. Aaron Walker has posted a stroke average of 76.29, having played 21 rounds, while Crawford Flach has averaged 76.90 over 21 rounds. Ivan Truss has posted an average of 78.50 in 12 rounds, while Jackson Seawell has an average of 79.53 in 17 rounds this season.
Austin Jackson has averaged 74.20 in five rounds, and Robert Adams has a stroke average of 76.33 over six rounds. Ashton Nix has also played six rounds, averaging 77.50, while Austin Rains has a stroke average of 77.83 in his six rounds this season.
