BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford volleyball team earned a 3-1 (24-26, 25-15, 25-16, 25-17) win over Western Carolina Saturday night in the Pete Hanna Center. With the win, Samford ends the regular season with a record of 16-14 overall and 11-5 in Southern Conference play. Western Carolina falls to 12-15 overall and 6-10 in SoCon play.
Samford has earned the No. 2 seed for the upcoming Southern Conference Tournament. The tournament will begin Friday in Greensboro, N.C. , and Samford will play its first match at 4 p.m. (CT). Samford's opponent will be announced when the official bracket is revealed later tonight.
