GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Samford volleyball team earned a 3-1 (25-19, 15-25, 25-21, 25-11) win over Chattanooga in the quarterfinals of the Southern Conference Tournament Friday afternoon at Fleming Gymnasium. With the win, Samford (17-14) advances to Saturday's semifinals where the Bulldogs will take on the winner of tonight's Furman-UNCG match at 3:30 p.m. (CT).
 
KEY MOMENTS

• Samford led throughout the first set.
• With Samford leading, 20-17, the Bulldogs scored five of the last seven points to close the set with a 25-19 victory.
• Chattanooga jumped out to a 10-3 lead in the second set.
• The Mocs extended their lead to 20-10 and eventually won the set, 25-15.
• The third set was tight throughout.
• With the match tied at 19-19, Samford scored seven of the last nine points to close the set with a 25-21 win.
• In the fourth set, with Samford leading, 7-6, the Bulldogs went on a 14-1 run to take a 21-7 lead.
• The Bulldogs closed out the set with a 25-11 set victory and a 3-1 match win.
