STILLWATER, Okla. – The Samford women's basketball built a double-digit first-half lead, but was unable to hold on as the Bulldogs fell, 82-62, at Oklahoma State Wednesday afternoon at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
With the loss, Samford falls to 2-4 on the season. Oklahoma State improves to 4-0 with the win.

- Samford was led by Oklahoma native Paige Serup with 17 points, making 6-of-9 shots from the floor, including 4-of-7 from three-point range.
- Charity Brown scored 12 points and dished out eight assists.
- Cassidy Williams added nine points for the Bulldogs.
- Natalie Armstrong led the team in rebounding with seven.
- Oklahoma State was led by Olivia Gray with 20 points.
- Braxtin Miller added 15 points for the Cowgirls.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Samford got off to a hot start, taking an early 6-2 lead with 8:15 to go in the first quarter after a three-pointer by Samantha Fitzgerald.
- Oklahoma State fought back to take a 7-6 lead at the 6:46 mark in the first period, but Samford took a 12-10 lead at the first-quarter media timeout with 4:58 to go in the quarter after a three-pointer by Williams.
- Samford pushed its lead out to seven points at 22-15 with 43 seconds left in the quarter after a layup by Serup.
- Raven Omar made a jumper at the first-quarter buzzer to give Samford a 24-15 lead at the end of the period.
- After Samford pushed its lead out to 11 points at 26-15 with 9:10 to go in the second quarter after a layup by Armstrong.
- With Samford leading, 29-19, Oklahoma State went on a 12-0 run to take a 31-29 lead with 2:26 left in the period.
- With Samford trailing, 35-34, Brown was fouled while shooting a three, and made two-of-three free throw attempts, giving Samford a 36-35 lead heading into the locker room at halftime.
- Oklahoma State jumped out to a 41-36 lead early in the third quarter, but Samford fought back to cut the lead to two points at 43-41 with 6:44 left in the quarter after a free throw by Brown.
- OSU then went on an 8-0 run to take a 51-41 lead with 3:51 to go in the period.
- Samford cut the lead back to eight points at 55-47 late in the quarter, but OSU held a 60-49 lead at the end of the third period.
- Samford cut the OSU lead to six points at 62-56 with 7:20 to go after a layup by Makaila Woolard.
- The Cowgirls, however scored the next eight points to push their lead to 70-56 with 5:17 left in the contest.
- Oklahoma State extended its lead to as many as 21 points at 80-59, and the Cowgirls came away with the 82-62 win.
