1). The Samford women's basketball team comes into Thursday's game with a record of 12-13 overall and 4-6 in Southern Conference play. The Bulldogs are coming off a 48-45 loss at SoCon-leading Mercer last Saturday.
 
2). As a team, Samford currently leads the Southern Conference in three-pointers made per game (5.9). The Bulldogs also rank second in the league in assists per game (14.4).
 
3). Individually, Charity Brown ranks second in the Southern Conference in both assists per game (5.9) and assist-turnover ratio (1.9). Olivia Crozier ranks third in the league in field goal percentage (.558), while Hannah Nichols ranks second in defensive rebounds (6.1) third in rebounds (7.0) and fifth in three-pointers made (1.8) and three-point percentage (.347).
 
4). Samford is led in scoring and rebounding by senior guard Hannah Nichols, averaging 13.1 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Sophomore Olivia Crozier averages 9.4 points and 5.4 boards per contest.
 
5). Hannah Nichols ranks second in school history in both 3-pointers made (235) and 3-pointers attempted (638). She ranks fourth in SU history in scoring (1,381), field goals made (489), field goals attempted (1,145) and blocks (78), and she ranks seventh in rebounding (520).
 
UNCG
1). UNCG has a record of 11-15 overall and 5-6 in Southern Conference play. The Spartans are coming off an 81-75 overtime win at Wofford last weekend.
                
2). For the season, UNCG is led in scoring by Nadine Soliman, averaging 14.5 points per game. Ije Ajemba scores 11.6 points per game for the Spartans.
              
3). Ajemba leads the Spartans in rebounding, grabbing 12.5 boards per contest. Te'ja Twitty averages 6.2 rebounds per game for UNCG.
 
4). Brandy Fier leads UNCG in assists, dishing out 3.8 assists per game. Alexis Pitchford averages 2.0 assists per game for the Spartans.
 
5). Samford and UNCG will be meeting for the 21st time, with Samford holding a 14-6 advantage in the series. The teams met earlier this season in Birmingham. Samford earned a 56-48 victory in that earlier meeting on Jan. 20. Samford has a record of 8-2 against UNCG in the Pete Hanna Center. The Bulldogs are 5-4 against the Spartans in Greensboro, N.C., and the team is 1-0 against UNCG at neutral sites.
