BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford men's tennis team will host the University of Alabama in Huntsville in a doubleheader Sunday at the Samford Tennis Center. The first match is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start.
Samford enters the doubleheader with a record of 6-7 overall and 1-2 in Southern Conference play. The Bulldogs are coming off a 5-2 win at The Citadel Wednesday. Samford is 5-1 in home matches so far this season.
Samford has been led this season by seniors
Jake Faundez,
Justin Ghavami and
Eduardo Lourido. Faundez has a record of 4-7 (4-5 at No. 1, 0-2 at No. 2). Ghavami is currently 7-5 (7-2 at No. 2, 0-3 at No. 1), while Lourido has a mark of 4-6 (3-6 at No. 3, 1-0 at No. 2).
UAH had a record of 4-7 overall and 2-5 in Gulf South Conference play. The Chargers are coming off a 7-2 loss at Lee last Wednesday afternoon.
Sunday's doubleheader is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start from the Samford Tennis Center. Admission to the match is FREE!
