BIRMINGHAM. Ala. – The Samford men's tennis team and junior Sandeep Mohandoss both earned regional rankings from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) earlier this month.
 
As a team, Samford is ranked eighth in the Southern Region of the ITA. Of the seven teams ranked ahead of Samford, five are members of the SEC. Individually, Mohandoss is ranked 16^th in the Southern Region.
 
The Bulldogs posted a historic season in the 2024-25. The team reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2013 after winning the Southern Conference Tournament title. Samford finished its season with a mark of 19-6 overall and 6-1 in SoCon play to win a share of the SoCon regular season title.
 
Individually, Mohandoss posted a singles record of 16-8, all at the No. 1 position. He finished with a mark of 5-2 in Southern Conference play. In doubles, he finished 15-8, mostly at the No. 2 position.
