BIRMINGHAM. Ala. – The Samford men's tennis team and junior
Sandeep Mohandoss both earned regional rankings from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) earlier this month.
As a team, Samford is ranked eighth in the Southern Region of the ITA. Of the seven teams ranked ahead of Samford, five are members of the SEC. Individually, Mohandoss is ranked 16
th in the Southern Region.
The Bulldogs posted a historic season in the 2024-25. The team reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2013 after winning the Southern Conference Tournament title. Samford finished its season with a mark of 19-6 overall and 6-1 in SoCon play to win a share of the SoCon regular season title.
Individually, Mohandoss posted a singles record of 16-8, all at the No. 1 position. He finished with a mark of 5-2 in Southern Conference play. In doubles, he finished 15-8, mostly at the No. 2 position.
