Men's Golf Travels To Greenville For Furman Intercollegiate This Weekend

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Samford men's golf team will compete in the Furman Intercollegiate, to be held at the Furman University Golf Course (Par 72, 6,994 yards), Friday through Sunday.
Joining Samford and the host, Furman in the event will be Akron, Charleston Southern, Dartmouth, Francis Marion, Gardner-Webb, Harvard, High Point, James Madison, Marshall, North Florida, Presbyterian, Temple, USC Aiken, USC Upstate, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Wichita State, Winthrop and Yale.
The teams will play 18 holes each day, Friday through Sunday, with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m. (CT). Samford's playing five for the tournament will consist of Alec Stopperich, Harlan Winn, George Hall, Hunter Hickingbotham and Josh Berze.
Stopperich enters the tournament with a stroke average of 73.43 in 21 rounds of golf. Winn has a 74.22 average in 18 rounds, while Hall has averaged 78.89 in nine rounds. Hickingbotham has posted a 76.27 average in 11 rounds so far, while Berze has averaged 78.67 in three rounds this season.
