Men's Golf Competes In Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate

NASHVILLE, Tenn. –
The Samford men's golf team finished 13th in the Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate, hosted by Lipscomb University at the Richland Country Club (Par 71, 6,943 yards), Monday and Tuesday.
 
Samford finished with a three-round score of 925 (314-304-307). Rice won the event, posting a final score of 860 (288-283-289).
 
Individually for Samford, Alec Stopperich (76-73-77) and Harlan Winn (76-76-74) both tied for 37th with final scores of 226. George Hall tied for 66th with a three-round total of 236 (83-77-76).
 
Austin Rains placed 71st with a final score of 242 (83-79-80). Alex Markham tied for 75th with a three-round total of 247 (79-78-90). Samford's Jackson Seawell, playing as an individual, placed 72nd with a score of 243 (85-80-78).
 
Mitchell Meissner of Rice and Dawson Armstrong of Lipscomb tied for individual medalist honors. Both players posted three-round totals of 208.
 
Samford will wrap up the 2017-18 season at the Southern Conference Championship, April 22-24 in Pinehurst, N.C.
