KENNESAW, Ga. – The Samford women's tennis team earned a 6-1 win at Kennesaw State Saturday afternoon at the Betty Siegel Courts.
 
With the win, Samford improves to 2-1 on the young season. Kennesaw State falls to 0-4 with the loss.
 
Kennesaw State took the doubles point. Samford won on the No. 1 doubles court, but KSU came back to take the matches on courts No. 2 and No. 3 to pick up the first point of the match.
 
Samford swept he six singles matches. The clinching point came on the No. 3 court, where Elsa Pool earned a 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 win over Kendall Nash.
 
Samford will next play at home vs. Nicholls State next Sunday, Feb. 3.
