BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford volleyball team earned a 3-0 (25-22, 25-10, 27-25) win over Furman Friday evening in the Pete Hanna Center.
With the win, Samford improves to 11-4 overall and 5-0 in SoCon play. Furman falls to 1-15 overall and 1-4 in league matches.

KEY MOMENTS
- In the first set, Samford built an early 8-4 lead.
- Furman fought back to take a 17-13 advantage.
- The Bulldogs, however came back to take the set, 25-22.
- Samford jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the second set, but Furman came back to tie the match at 7-7.
- The Bulldogs answered with a 9-1 run to take a 16-8 lead.
- With Samford leading, 17-10, the Bulldogs closes the set with an 8-0 run for a 25-10 win.
- In the third set, Samford took an early 8-4 lead.
- Furman fought back to take a 22-19 lead, but Samford came back to knot the score at 24-24.
- Samford then took the set, 27-25 on a kill by Kelsi Hobbs to win the match, 3-0.

- Hobbs led Samford in kills with 14 on the night.
- Lauren Deaton had 10 kills and four digs.
- Emily Naubert led the team in digs with 19.
- Corinne Melic tallied 36 assists in the win.
