BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford volleyball team earned a 3-1 (25-13, 26-24, 23-25, 25-14) win over UNCG in Southern Conference action Saturday evening in the Pete Hanna Center.
With the win, Samford improves to 12-4 overall and 6-0 in Southern Conference play. UNCG falls to 8-12 overall and 2-4 in league matches.

- In the first set, Samford jumped out to a 17-7 lead.
- The Bulldogs built their lead to 21-11 and eventually won the set, 25-13.
- Samford took an early 7-4 lead in the second set.
- With the score tied at 24-24, Samford scored the next two points to take the set by a score of 26-24.
- The third set was tight throughout.
- With Samford leading, 23-19, UNCG went on a 6-0 run to take the set, 25-23.
- In the fourth set, UNCG took an early 4-1 lead, but Samford came back with a 12-2 run to take a 13-6 lead.
- Samford built its lead to 10 points at 23-13, and the Bulldogs finished with a 25-14 set win and a 3-1 match victory.
