TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Samford women's basketball team fell at 12
th-ranked Florida State, 88-59 Sunday afternoon at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center.
With the loss, Samford falls to 1-4 on the season. FSU improves to 4-0 with the win.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Florida State jumped out to an 11-0 lead with 6:03 left in the first quarter after a layup by River Baldwin.
- Samford answered with a 9-2 run to cut the FSU lead to 13-9 with 3:26 left in the first period after a jumper by Brown.
- Florida State led, 21-11 at the end of the first quarter.
- The Seminoles built their lead to 27-13 with 7:03 left in the second quarter.
- After Samford cut the lead to 27-17, FSU went on a 12-4 run to push its lead to 39-21, and the Seminoles took a 42-25 lead into halftime.
