BIRMINGHAM, Ala.— The Samford baseball team's home opener, originally scheduled for Tuesday at 4 p.m., has been postponed due to inclement weather in the Birmingham area. A make-up date will be announced later.
 
Samford (1-2) is scheduled to host Xavier in a three-game series this weekend. The games are scheduled for Friday at 4 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.
