BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford men's tennis team fell to UCF by a score of 4-0 Sunday afternoon at the Samford Tennis Center.
With the loss, Samford drops its record to 4-5.
Samford took the doubles match on the No. 2 court when
Jack Lyttle and
Rossouw Norval defeated Gabriel Decamps and Manoel Alencar, 6-2. UCF, however, won the doubles matches at No. 1 and No. 3 to secure the doubles point.
In singles, UCF earned wins at No. 1, No. 3 and No. 4 to secure the 4-0 victory.
Samford will open Southern Conference play by playing at Wofford on Friday, March 1. The match is set for a 2 p.m. (CT) start from Spartanburg, S.C.
