CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Samford women's tennis team wrapped up its regular season with a 4-3 win at Chattanooga Saturday afternoon.
With the win, Samford improves to 12-10 overall and 3-4 in Southern Conference matches. Chattanooga falls to 8-11 overall and 1-6 in league play.
Chattanooga won the doubles matches at No. 1 and No. 2 to secure the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead.
In singles, Samford earned wins at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 6 to secure the 4-3 victory.
Samford has earned the No. 5 seed in next week's Southern Conference Tournament in Macon, Ga. The Bulldogs will open the event by taking on the No. 4 seed UNCG Thursday at 7:30 a.m. (CT).
