BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Samford junior defender Grace Sommi scored on a header off a corner kick in the final minute of the second overtime to lift the Bulldog soccer team to a 3-2 win over Western Kentucky Friday night at the Samford Track and Soccer Stadium.

With the win, Samford improves to 1-1-1 on the young season. Western Kentucky is also 1-1-1 on the season.

The game-winning goal came on a header by Grace Sommi off a corner kick by Alyssa Frazier.
Kylie Gazza and Audrey Kleiman each had their first career goals in the win.
Frazier tallied two assists for the Bulldogs.
