BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Samford University's track and field teams competed in the first home indoor meet of the season, the Samford Invite, January 16-18.

Justin Stuckey kicked off the meet for the Bulldogs with a first-place finish in the men's high jump with a 2.12 meter jump.
McKenzie Hogue continued her winning streak with a first-place finish in the women's mile run crossing the line with a 4:49.55.
Freshman
Evan Brooks took second-place in the men's 200-meter dash with a time of 22.33.
Fresh off his Southern Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week,
Matt Cahoon placed second in the men's weight throw (15.60 meters).
Morayo Bhadmos continued her strong work in the field events finishing second in the women's triple jump (12.19 meters).Â
Titus Moore garnered third-place honors in the men's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.06
The Bulldogs shined in the distance events, with
Katie Strozier taking second-place in the women's 800 meter run with a time of 2:17.14.
Dillon Dean finished first in the men's 3000-meter run with a time of 8:35.98.
At the Samford Multi Meet,
Ty Kimberlin (4699) and Thomas Ozburn (4297) placed second and third in the men's heptathlon.
