MATHEWS, La. – The Samford men's golf team opened the 2021 season by finishing fourth at the La Tour Intercollegiate, hosted by Nicholls State, Saturday and Sunday at the La Tour Golf Club.

As a team, Samford shot a two-round total of 14-over-par 590 (303-287) to finish fourth. Louisiana Tech won the tournament with a score of 564 (288-276).

Individually for Samford, Davis Woodliff led the way, tying for 12^th with a two-round score of 146 (77-69). Charlie Buffkin tied for 18^th at 148 (75-73), while Harlan Winn tied for 21^st at 149 (75-74).

Andrew Sullivan finished in a tie for 48^th with a score of 153 (76-77). Brendan Reilly tied for 55^th with a two-round total of 155 (84-71).

Samford will next play in the Gulf Coast Collegiate in Diamondhead, La., Mar. 1-2.
