Samford-Alabama Baseball At The Hoover Met Canceled

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Samford's home midweek matchup against the Alabama Crimson Tide, which was slated for Tuesday at 6 p.m. (CT) at the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, has been cancelled, it was officially announced by both athletic departments Friday. Alabama initiated the cancelation.

Samford (23-17, 13-5 SoCon) is coming off dropping two-of-three games to Mercer last weekend. The Bulldogs will play a three-game series at Wofford this weekend, beginning with a single game today at 4 p.m. (CT). The teams will then play a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m. (CT).

Alabama (25-15, 8-10 SEC) earned a 9-3 win at UAB Tuesday night. The Crimson Tide is scheduled to host a three-game series with Missouri this weekend.
