Women’s Basketball Travels To Nebraska For Saturday Showdown

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the second leg of a three-game road trip, the Samford Women's basketball team heads to Nebraska for a Saturday night contest with the Huskers of Nebraska.

The Bulldogs and Huskers are scheduled for a 6 p.m. CT tipoff and the game will be streamed on the Big 10 Network+.

Samford enters the contest with a 4-7 record after falling at Alabama State to open the road swing.

Saturday marks the first meeting between the two squads.

In the first 11 games of the season, Samford coach Carley Kuhns has started the lineup of Andrea Cournoyer, Sussy Ngulefac, Kathleen Wheeler, Alyssa Tarpley and Sanaa Redmond.

Entering the Nebraska game, Cournoyer is averaging 19.3 points per game, which is good enough to rank 34th nationally and first in the SoCon. The senior guard ranks first in the SoCon and sixith in the country with 212 total points.
