AIKEN, S.C. – Samford's
Davis Woodliff tied for seventh out of 75 players at the Palmetto Invitational, held Monday and Tuesday at Palmetto Golf Club (Par 70, 6,617 yards).
"Davis played his best tournament as a Bulldog," Samford head coach Al Del Greco said. "He played against a strong field and finished first out of all Southern Conference players in the field."
Woodliff posted a three-round score of one-over-par 211 (71-69-71).
Dylan Moncus tied for 50
th with a final score of 223 (72-74-77), while
Craig Sanders tied for 53
rd at 224 (73-76-75).
Brian Boles placed 63
rd with a three-round score of 227 (79-77-71), and
Andrew Sullivan tied for 64
th at 228 (82-75-71).
As a team, Samford tied for ninth with a team score of 877 (295-294-288). South Carolina won the event with a score of 832 (275-282-275).
Samford will next play in the LA Tour Intercollegiate, Mar. 28-29, in Mathews, La.
