Women’s Golf Places Fourth At Oyster Shuck Match Play

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Samford women's golf team placed fourth at the Oyster Shuck Match Play, hosted by The Citadel, Monday and Tuesday.
On Monday's opening round, Samford defeated Delaware State, 4.0-1.0. Bailey Dunstan, Christian Williams, Kelley Topiwala and Sophie Membrino each won their individual matches in the victory.
The second round was also played Monday, with Samford falling to a tough James Madison team, 4.5-0.5. The Bulldogs then took on Southern Conference foe UNC Greensboro in the third-place match, falling, 4.0-1.0. Dunstan picked up another win for Samford in that final match.
For her efforts, Dunstan was named to the event's All-Tournament team.
Samford will next compete in the ASU Spring Classic, hosted by Alabama State, Feb. 19-20 in Prattville, Ala.
