ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -Â The Samford men's and women's track teams competed against stellar competition on Friday and Saturday while taking part in the New Mexico Collegiate Classic in Albuquerque, N.M.
Head Coach Rod Tiffin took a small group of athletes - Brittany Bishop, Jed Sisco, Titus Moore, Amiel Dabney, and Evan Brooks - to Albuquerque to compete at a higher altitude.
"The weekend had a very inauspicious start with our poles not making it here until Saturday," said Tiffin. "This caused Brittany to not be able to compete on Friday. After the slow start, I thought we represented well. We always look for perfection and didn't get that this weekend, but we see where we are based on some of the best track athletes in the world."
"It's always great for our student-athletes to see other parts of the country when available, so I think it was worth the trip. We should be ready to get back and refocus on our conference championships."
Complete meet results can be found here.
The Bulldogs are back in action tomorrow as they take part in the South Alabama Invite, which will be held at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
