OWENS CROSSROADS, Ala. – The Samford women's golf team sits in fifth place after two rounds at the Huntsville.org Intercollegiate, hosted by Samford on Monday at the RTJ at Hampton Cove-Highlands Course (Par 72, 6,039 yards).
The Bulldogs fired a two-round team score of 599 (301-298) to place sixth out of 11 teams. Lipscomb currently leads the event at 582 (296-286).
Samford was led by
Kelley Topiwala, who tied for third in the 64-player field with a two-round score of 145 (73-72).
Bailey Dunstan tied for 10
th at 147 (73-74), while
Sophie Membrino placed 29
th with a score of 153 (77-76).
Christian Williams tied for 30
th with a score of 154 (78-76).
Kate Joyner is in a tie for 48
th at 160 (78-82).
Allison Dusek and
Anika Richards are playing as individuals, with their scores not counting towards the team score. Dusek tied for 30
th with a score of 154 (75-79), while Richards tied for 43
rd at 158 (81-77).
